Iris leaf paper heart on cochineal-dyed silk over dyed paper
 
This valentine card design features a heart of handmade iris leaf paper embroidered on Dupion silk dyed deep pink with Andean cochineal and framed with hand made paper dyed with brazilwood and iron.

The background paper is made with sweet corn husks dyed with cochineal.
